Lapping Mesh

Lap splice requirements for welded wire mesh are dictated by NZS 3101:2006 and are subject to a number of variables.

Assumptions are as listed.

fy = 485 MPa Yield strength of steel

F' = 25 MPa Compressive strength of concrete

Asr/Asp  = 1.0 Ratio of steel required to steel provided

C
= 20mm + db/2   Concrete over

Laps splices for each specification are shown in their individual "PRODUCT DETAILS"

Laps for Seismic Grade meshes are one square, (200mm).

This has been determined by an extensive test programme conducted by Holmes Solutions which has validated the physical performance of this lap. A copy of the test report is available on request.
